“John, are you ready to get your finger working again?” Phil Palmer
E così fa il suo ingresso nella formazione John Illsley, storico bassista e fondatore nel 1977 dei Dire Straits – presente per tutta la vita del Gruppo – che ha aderito con entusiasmo alla chiamata di Phil Palmer. Si aggiunge al tour 2014 anche Steve Ferrone, uno dei batteristi più quotati al mondo (Eric Clapton, Tom Petty, Duran Duran). Sul palco, a farci rivivere le atmosfere e la “voce” dei loro strumenti insieme ai citati John Illsley e Steve Ferrone, ci saranno Phil Palmer (chitarra e Musical Director), Mel Collins (sassofono), Danny Cummings (percussioni) e gli italiani Marco Caviglia (voce chitarra) e Primiano Di Biase (tastiere).
Il progetto Dire Straits Legend è una “Concept band”, termine usato dagli stessi musicisti che, riunitisi dopo tanti anni, ci faranno rivivere brani “unici” come: “Romeo and Juliet”, “Sultans of Swing”, “Money for Nothing”, “ Tunnel of Love”, “Walk of life” e molti altri.
